Thomas

Anna and Thomas were the first 2 rescued from a kill pen in February 2018. Both brother and sister are Palomino color Missouri Fox Trotters now ages 19 and 18.

Little is known about their early beginnings except the owners passed away and the children did not want them. They were starving to death, Anna was 800 lbs and Thomas was 600 lbs underweight. The sheriff of the parish in Louisiana confiscated the dying pair and brought them to the kill pen. Jenn saw the siblings on the kill pen site and bought them instantly.

The road to recovery started immediately and within 3 months they put on enough weight for their coat to come back in and their health started to return to normal. Anna had to have 3 iodine baths to get rid of bacteria and mites on her skin and suffers from severe arthritis on her right side.

Fast forward to today, they are both thriving and full of personality. Anna is sweet, sassy, and likes her own space. Thomas is a strong-willed and goofy showoff. They keep the barn and all of us on our toes.
