River is a stunning 12-year-old AQHA registered Hancock Blue Roan. It is rare to see a blue roan, much less a Hancock, at the kill pen. Hancock is a well-known breeder of quality, hard-working ranch horses. We were fortunate to rescue River, along with Ravine, in April 2020.

She came to us very sick with pneumonia and a bad cough that took several treatments to clear up. River has a beautiful black coat with hues of blue reflecting in the sunlight, soft, dark eyes, and a calm demeanor. She is loving, lazy, and Queen of the Roost. River is thriving at her forever home as a cow horse with Jenn’s family at their ranch in Seguin.
