Ravine is a beautiful bay 16-year-old AQHA registered quarter horse. She was an unexpected rescue in April 2020 from a kill pen. We arrived to pick up River and Jenn took one look at pregnant Ravine’s eyes, and we brought her home immediately.

From what we know, Ravine’s early beginnings included being a roping header in competition where her career was cut short by a knee injury. She was then used as a broodmare. We don’t know the story of how she ended up at the kill pen, but we guess there is no use for a roping horse with a frozen square knee.

Ravine was Duke’s girlfriend which makes her head mare at the ranch. She is kind, calm, independent, and snorts at everything that scares her or she doesn’t like (which used to be a lot)! We were blessed when she had her mini-me, baby Levi in September 2020. Momma Ravine is a great mom and has her own personal PPD with “The Bigs” (Duke & Rayleigh) protecting her and Levi.
